Contino Achieves AWS Migration Competency
Contino is thrilled to announce that we have attained the global AWS Migration Competency. We are now one of only 24 AWS Migration Consulting Partners worldwide.
The competency is a sign of our continued global growth and maturity with headcount and revenue numbers doubling year-on-year.
This is official recognition from AWS of the depth of our expertise in complex cloud migration projects in large, highly-regulated organisations around the world. To achieve this competency, we demonstrated significant technical expertise by supporting our customers through the planning, readiness and execution stages typical of successful cloud adoption journeys at scale. This is evidenced by our public case studies, and underpinned by our wider AWS expertise in our global workforce.
The public case studies included National Australia Bank (NAB) and Jetstar. At NAB, a joint AWS-Contino team helped to migrate 30 on-premises applications to AWS in only 50 days. This is a key pillar of NAB’s intention to invest $1.5 billion in an aggressive digital transformation agenda over the next three years and generate annual cost savings of $1 billion from 2020.
This project contributed to Contino being awarded the APN Differentiation Partner of the Year award for Application Transformation & Migration at AWS Summit Sydney earlier this year.
Core to our approach is Momentum: a battle-tested framework for digital transformation. Rather than approaching migration as a single ‘big bang’ event, we tackle an engagement as a series of smaller lighthouse projects, each designed to provide key learnings about how to best scale the migration in each unique client context.
DevOps and Financial Services Competencies
An AWS Premier Consulting Partner, Contino also holds the AWS DevOps and AWS Financial Services competencies. These competencies are a ringing endorsement of Contino’s exceptional capability in these fields and the genuine transformation Contino can offer enterprise customers, including developing and delivering cloud migration strategies and upskilling customers in cloud-native ways of working.
Matt Farmer, Contino Co-founder and CEO said: “This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our teams, the effectiveness of our unique approach to enterprise transformation and proves our genuine expertise in cloud migration and adoption. It’s fantastic to have the quality of our cloud migration work to be publicly acknowledged by the world’s foremost public cloud provider. Our relationship with AWS continues to go from strength to strength, and to the benefit of our clients.”
